Disposal of used computers and IT hardware:

Landau Technologies does not buy or sell used IT equipment. if you seek to sell your equipment we recommend that you contact a number of computer recyclers/refurbishers in local area. A copy of your original IT proposal should help you identify the internal components and thus negotiate the best possible price.

Landau Technologies does not strip for re-sale components from replaced computers. All replaced computers and hardware are either taken directly to our local recycling centre or donated to the local Catholic primary school for use in with educational software in the lower grades However please note that donated computers must have the original operating system software (Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 or XP) to ensure complete compliance with all applicable copyright and Licencing laws.

Data protection and your legal, medical  and business obligations:

It is imperative that all commercially sensitive, medical and personal information be destroyed prior to sending any equipment to either computer recyclers/refurbishers, recycling centre of as a donation. The appropriate steps to thoroughly protect the data will depend on the data stored and the role of the system. Please contact us for advise and quote if appropriate prior to disposal. We use recommend products such as Cyberscrub, Disk Shredder, Braun Shredder and Almer Shredder. Which product we use will depend on the client's requirements.

Community Recycling Projects:
